I think the wig on the model makes it look more “human”. But because the face is blank it looks more weird. Maybe you should put make up on it!

The only way round second sock/glove syndrome is to do both at the same time. Either both on the same loop or on separate needles, alternating rows.

Oh, but I like your color work hat! I tried to avoid tension problems and second sock syndrome by casting on and finishing my second one immediately. It came out MUCH smaller than the first. I’m giving myself another week before starting it AGAIN.

Congrats on publishing your first pattern — that’s so awesome! I’d make mine in orange, I think. It seems like a good, cheery color for winter.
